Support for cancer patients

Hi this is Marjorie, a nurse/midwife volunteer at the Community Cancer Centre in Yiewsley, Middlesex England. We are 5 mins drive away from Heathrow Airport. For all our international readers of this blog ……if you are near or in between flights then call in for a cup of tea and see our centre!

Here I am on this blog to let the public know what the centre does to help support cancer patients & their carers.  I hope to be able to share educational pages with you, not only on the centre but on various aspects of the cancer journey. A journey that can be challenging from diagnosis, through treatments and to wellness or sadly any release.

I will be here for any reach outs from anywhere in the world to share my support with you.

We have a new project called It will change my life The aim of this is project is to reach out in our local area to befriend or buddy cancer patients & their families through the challenging journey that cancer brings.

I hope, that through this blog, I will be able to reach out to those that can offer strength to our centre in the form of financial support too.  The centre is a charity run organisation and needs the support …..to be able to support others. My pages will offer ways you can direct that support – for a start look at the everyclick page.  Your mouse brought you to this blog but it can drop pennies into our funds too through using everyclick as your search engine……and it is not out of your pocket!!

The centre needs help with general maintainence, rent aswell as funds for training volunteers, we need to develop a bespoke database for all our clients and upgrade our website. So every £ $ or Euro you send will be put to good use to help Support our Cancer Patients and families.

The blog will be useful for our volunteer trainees too!  We will be training them to offer guidance and support to change the lives of cancer patients & carers.  Helping those affected to move through the journey in a more healthy and balanced way.
